Mymensingh and Narayanganj DFAs reached the zonal finals of the KFC National Women’s Football Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semifinals on Saturday.
Mymensingh DFA booked a seat for the zonal final outplaying Gaibandha DFA by 5-0 goals at the Rajshahi Muktijodha Stadium Saturday afternoon.
Sajeda scored three goals in the 8th, 20th and 89th minutes while Tahura and Sabina netted one each.
At the Luxmipur Stadium, Narayanganj DFA reached the zonal final outplaying Cox’s Bazar DFA by 3-0 goals. Shuki struck twice and Sharifa netted one for the winners.
At the Dinajpur Stadium, Thakurgaon DFA made a good start beating Nilphamari DFA by 2-0 goals in zonal opener on Saturday. Zafura and Monsha scored one each for the winners.
At the Kushtia Stadium, Jhenaidah DFA outplayed Rajbari DFA by 3-0 goals in another zonal opener with Rani Khatun making a hat-trick scoring all the three goals.
