Different industrial units in Mymensingh and Naogaon BSCIC industrial cities are producing essential commodities, including chira and muri, ahead of the fasting month of Ramadan.
“The industrial units of the industrial cities are being run by maintain all health rules. Eleven industrial units of the two industrial cities are producing over 90 metric tonnes chira-muri daily,” said an Industries Ministry press release issued on Wednesday.
The produced chira-muri is being supplied across the country, inducing greater Mymensingh district and northern part of the country.
Official of the Mymensingh Industrial City Md Monjurul Islam said there are 72 factories in the industrial city and out of them, 27 factories are continuing their operation for producing essential items despite COVID-19 outbreak.
Besides, a total of 53 factories are in the Naogaon BSCIC industrial city. Out of them, 29 factories are continuing their operation.
