Prof Dr Md Abul Mansur (Millat) and Prof Mohammad Jahangir Alam of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) have been elected as President and Secretary of the Greater Comilla Samiti in Mymensingh respectively.
Dr Md Abul Mansur (Millat), Department of Fisheries Technology of the BAU has been praised with the duty for representing various professionals from Chandpur, Comilla and Brahmanbaria districts living in Mymensingh.
Dr Mansur was born at Tejkhali village of Bancharampur upazila of Brahmanbaria district. He holds his B.Sc. and M.Sc from the BAU and obtained his PhD from the University of Hal in England.
Dr Mansur completed the JSPS Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Japan. He is currently working as a Grade-1 Professor in the Department of Fisheries Technology at the university.
Meanwhile, Prof Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Department of Agribusiness and Marketing, was born at Durlabhadi village of Titas upazila of Comilla district.
Prof Alam completed his BSc (Hons) and M.Sc in Agricultural Economics from BAU and agricultural University and obtained a PhD from Ghent University, Belgium.
