Mymenshingh clinch JFA Cup title

Sajeda slammed a brilliant hat-trick powered Memensingh district to clinch title of the JFA U-14 Women’s National Football championship as they dumped Rangpur district by 6-0 goals in the one-sided final held on Wednesday at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Apart from Sajeda’s hat-trick with four goals in the 6th, 10th, 42nd and 64th minutes, Rozina and Samsunahar supported her with one goal apiece in the 30th and 31st minutes respectively for the champions.
Sajeda of Mymenshingh received the golden boot trophy award as she emerged as highest scorer in the meet with 12 goals while Amina of the same team was adjudged the most valuable player of the tournament.
The champion team received Taka 50,000 while the runners-up got Taka 25,000 as prize money.
Besides, Thakurgaon district got the fair play trophy award.
Bangladesh Football Federation president Kazi M Salahudin was present as the chief guest in the final and distributed the prizes.
Earlier, on Monday last, on way to the final, Rangpur district booked their final birth beating Thakurgaon district by 3-1 in penalty shootout in the first semi-final after the regulation time ended by 1-1 goal draw while Mymenshing district secured their final slot as they got walkover after Satkhira district failed to appear on the ground in the second semis.
