Health Minister Mohammed Nasim said the Myanmar government would ensure health facilities to Rohingyas after taking them back to their country soon.
This was told to Mohammah Nasim by Health Minster of Myanmar Dr Myint Htwe on Saturday when he called on the former at World Trade Center in Moscow, Russia, said a press release here.
Nasim said the Myanmar government would take the Rohingyas back soon to their country and provide them proper health care facilities.
Htwe said their government has already started taking preparations to take them back.
During the meeting, Nasim urged Myanmar to stop barbaric attacks on their own people and also ensure their fundamental rights.
Nasim said as per the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the health ministry is providing all possible medical services to the refugees “within the limited resources considering it a humanitarian issue”. But it is not possible to serve the Rohingyas for long, he added.
Earlier, Nasim expressed his gratitude to World Health Organization (WHO) Director General Dr Tedros Adhamom Ghebreysus for its contributions to Bangladesh for various achievements in health sector.
