Myanmar has sent three warships into the Bay of Bengal amid escalating tensions over the death of a BGB (Border Guard Bangladesh) man. Myanmar has also massed its soldiers along the Tumbru and Ghundum border opposite Naikkangchhari upazila in Bangladesh, sources said. Earlier on Wednesday, Myanmar border troop BGP fired on Bangladesh border troop BGB in Painchhari area of Naikkhangchhari-Myanmar border leaving Mizanur bullet hit. Myanmar border troop then detained injured BGB Nayek Mizanur Rahman intruding into Bangladesh territory. Mizanur succumbed to his injuries while he was in possession of Myanmar BGP. Mizanur Rahman’s father Lance Corporal Abdul Hafiz sacrificed his life for the country in 1971 Liberation War. BGP on Saturday afternoon handed over the body of Mizanur Rahman to the officials of 50 battalion of BGB in Naikkhangchhari.—- risingbd.com
