Myanmar plans to implement eco-tourism project

Myanmar has planned to implement eco-tourism project in Bago Yoma forest in the central part in a bid to boost tourism of the country.
The project will be carried out by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, official media reported Thursday.
The two ministries have planned to open the Bago Yoma Eco-Resort for better conservation of the nature at the end of July.
Implementation of eco-tourism can create better job opportunities for the local people, officials said.
The ministries also plan to implement cultural tourism and community-based tourism in Yangon, Pyay, Tayaykhittayar and Taungoo regions.
