Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a Myanmarese national along with 1.50 lakh pieces of Yaba tablet from Jaliapara in the Naf River in Teknaf upazila early Tuesday.
The arrestee was indentified as Rahmat Ali,20, son of Amir Ali, a resident of Tailpara in Banda thana of Akiab district in Myanmar.
Tipped off, a team of the border force challenged a boat from Myanmar while crossing the Naf river in the area near the residence of MP Abdur Rahman Bodi of Cox’s Bazar constituency around 12:30 am, said Major Jafrul Haque, acting commanding officer of BGB-42.
