Chittagong Bureau :
Bakalia thana police under CMP rounded up one Myanmar alongwith 500 pieces of intoxicated yaba tablets from Shah Amanat bridge area under Bakalia on Tuesday night.
The detained Myanmar citizen identified as Md. Yousuf.
Bakalia thana officer in-charge Md. Mohsin told that Yousuf hails from Mondu province of Myanmar and son of one late Md. Sabbir Ahmed.
Police sources said the detained drug peddler arrived in Chittagong from Teknaf by a bus and after checking his body, these contraband yabas recovered from his possession.
A case under narcotics act has been lodged with the concerned police station, sources said.
