My Bicycle, the country’s first movie in indigenous language will travel to Latin America for screenings.
The film has been selected in the competitive sections in the Fiksur International Film Festival in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Cine Curien International Indigenous Film Festival in Brazil. In Buenos Aires the festival will run till July 8.
The festival started on July 1 with ten movies from US, Australia, France vying against My Bicycle in the competitive section.
The festival in Brazil will start from July 12 and continue till July 16 in the Brazilian city of Salvador and then resume again from August 16 to August 19.
The film has been directed by Aung Rakhine, produced by Ma Nan Khing and has its screenplay written by Nasiful Walid.
