Police have recovered the mutilated body of a missing person from a graveyard at Sultannagar purbapara village in Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj on Friday .
The victim was identified as Matiur Rahman (55) son of late Taher uddin in Sultannagar village of Karimganj upazila.

According to police and the victim’s family, the first wife of Matiur Rahman, a father of four, died seven years ago. He got married for the second time on May 20 in Gangatia village of Gunadhar union. He had been living in his father-in-law’s house since his marriage. He left home last Tuesday. Hotel owner Haresh Miah got a call from his father-in-law’s house at around 8 pm that day. He has been missing since then.
His cell phone was open but no one answered. This morning, the locals informed the police when they saw the mutilated body of Matiur Rahman lying in the graveyard on the bank of Narsunda river.
Police went to the spot and recovered his body.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) in Karimganj Shamsul Alam Siddiqui told the New Nation that, Body was sent to the morgue of Kishoreganj general hospital for autopsy. An inquest report has been prepared.
The lower part of the body was not found from the waist. Judging by the condition of the body, it looks like a premeditated murder”
