Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman left the city on Sunday for Kolkata to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Earlier, the ‘Cutter Boy’ returned to the city from New Zealand with Bangladesh Cricket team on the same day. Mustafiz will take seven-day quarantine before compete in the IPL. He will play for Rajashtan Royals in this year’s IPL.
Senior Media Manager of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Rabeed Imam said to this Reporter, ” Mustafizur Rahman did not leave the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport today. His other teammates came out from the airport today. Mustafizur Rahman left the city for Kolkata today. After take seven-day quarantine there, he will reach his match venue.”
As Mustafiz returned from New Zealand with coronavirus-negative certificate, so, he will not have to take undergo Covid-19 Test again.
Rajasthan Royals bought Mustafizur Rahman for Indian Rupees one crore.
‘The Fizz’ took his first IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad and played a key role to clinch the championship title for his team. He was awarded the most promising player of the IPL that year. After that he played for Mumbai Indians in his next IPL campaign.
This year Rajasthan Royals have recruited him.
