Sports Reporter :
‘Cutter Master’ Mustafizur Rahman has become bored after he has passed his time in bio-secure bubble environment. He has also take room or hotel quarantine twice or thrice.
Before playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) Mustafizur Rahman were seven-day quarantine in a room. The left-arm pacer played for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL. The IPl was suspended due to deadly coronavirus outbreak. When the left-arm pacer was engaged in his IPL job, He was in bio-secure bubble environment. After ending the tournament, Mustafizur Rahman returned to Dhaka by a special chartered aeroplane and then he is quarantined at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city’s Karwan Bazar. It is a good news for him that his wife was with him in India and she is also with him in 14-day quarantine in the city hotel.
Mustafizur Rahman played all the matches for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. He performed up to the mark in all the matches for RR. But the ‘Cutter Master’ told to a website, ” I have become fed up after passing day after day in bio-secure bubble environment. It is a tough task for me to maintain the scheduled routine. Sometimes I have to pass my time in field and sometimes in the hotel after maintaining bio-secure bubble environment. Everywhere is same to me, it may be in international cricket or IPL. Everybody, who have to keep him in bio-secure bubble system is a tough task.”
He also said, ” I have to do nothing. I was in bio-secure bubble system in India during IPL and now I am in hotel quarantine. When a teammate of us become positive for coronavirus test, we were in room quarantine. After coming here by a special chartered aeroplane, we have to take a hotel quarantine. It seems to me very boring.”
Even though Mustafizur was in good rhythm in the IPL, he isn’t exactly feeling disappointed that the tournament was postponed. “Because if it (Covid-19) had spread more, then a lot of players would have been infected and that wouldn’t have been good for anyone. I think I have got good preparation for the T20 World Cup, and the experience that I have gathered will certainly help me in the tournament. I will try to share my experiences with my (national) teammates that I feel would help them while judging our opponents in the T20 World Cup.” he concluded.
