Solemnly and gleefully Bangladesh have concealed the gross memories of the Test series in the beginning of the tour. Being a competent component in the limited over competition for last several years, the Tigers’ winning the one day international series was not any epiphany but the T20I series have ended with full of sparking revelations.
Like he did in the earlier stages of his career, Mustafizur Rahman masterminded his bowling especially in the last match to pave the way to the big win for the tourists.
Mustafizur’s 3 wickets in 3.1 overs was the best bowling effort by any Bangladeshi bowlers in the match. He conceded 31 runs with an extra.
By dismissing Andre Russell in the first ball of the 17th over, the young left arm pacer has gone past Mashrafe bin Mortaza’s tally of 42 wickets in T20Is. He is now the highest wicket taker for Bangladesh in the shortest version of the game.
Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan tops the list with 80 wickets. Former spinner Abdur Razzak is still holding the second position with 44 wickets in his tally.
Mashrafe bin Mortaza has been pushed down by Mustafizur taking his 43rd wicket while lanky pacer Al-Amin Hossain is standing fifth taking 39 wickets.
Early in the series decider at Lauderhill, Florida, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and went for bat first. Young wicket keeper batsman Litton Kumar Das posted a superb 61 runs in 32 deliveries leading the touring party to accumulate a grand total of 184 for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.
