‘Cutter Master’ Mustafizur Rahman has tested negative for coronavirus. The ‘Cutter Master’ and his wife got their corona report on Sunday. The left-arm pacer and his wife have been quarantined at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city’s Karwan Bazar. Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan underwent Covid-19 test on Friday last and became negative on Saturday. Shakib Al Hasan, the best all-rounder of ODI cricket played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Mustafizur Rahman played for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL. The IPL was suspended on Tuesday last due to coronavirus outbreak. Then the ace all-rounder and the left-arm pacer with his wife arrived at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by a special chartered aeroplane.
After that Shakib Al Hasan has been quarantined at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in the city’s Gulshan.
Physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Monzur Hossain Chowdhury confirmed this matter on Sunday.
Monzur said, ” We got the corona report of Shakib Al Hasan on Saturday. He has tested negative for coronavirus. We collected the saliva sample of Mustafizur Rahman and his wife on Saturday. They have tested negative for coronavirus.”
Meanwhile, after ending the quarantine period the ace all-rounder and the left-arm pacer will be available from May 20 before taking part in the practice sessions. Sri Lanka Cricket team will arrive in Dhaka on May 16 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches against Bangladesh Cricket team.
