Mustafa Kamal vows to work for brightening Bangladesh cricket’s image

Newly elected President of the International Cricket Council (ICC) AHM Mustafa Kamal MP has said he will do everything possible for upholding the image of Bangladesh Cricket.
“I’ll do as much as possible to broaden the image of Bangladesh in the world cricket arena,” said the first Bangladeshi president of ICC at a reception accorded to him by the Planning Ministry on Tuesday.
“Although it’s not possible for my part to work directly for Bangladesh cricket as the ICC president, but I’ll do my best as a cricket lover to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the cricket-loving people of Bangladesh,” he said.
Observing that all the cricket teams go through bad time at times which Bangladesh cricket is now experiencing, AHM Mustafa Kamal, also Planning Minister, said, “We must overcome the situation immediately. However, we have to be patient in this regard.”
State Minister for Finance MA Mannan also spoke at the function.
AHM Mustafa Kamal took the charge as the 11th ICC president after the ICC’s Annual Conference held at Melbourne in Australia on June 26.
