Music of Bengal starts its journey with Kamal Ahmed’s Mohakobi

Music of Bengal recently started its journey with an opening ceremony of the audio album titled Mohakobi by noted singer Kamal Ahmed, which is dedicated to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The album was released on the Victory Day. The launching ceremony of logo of Music of Bengal and also the releasing of the audio album, which was sponsored by Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC), was held at Officers Club in the capital.
State Minister, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Nasrul Hamid was present as the chief guest, while Abu Bakar Siddiq, Chairman of BPC, Sheikh Sadi Khan, music director, noted Tagore artiste Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya, and renowned music director Anisur Rahman Tonu among others were present as guests at the event, which was chaired by Kamal Ahmed, Chairman of Music of Bengal.
Songs of the album, Mohakobi include Akasher moto bishal hridoy, Sheikh Mujiber kachhe moder wreen, Mohakaler mohakabbyo Bangladesh, Pakhira daklo naam dhore, Bangla namer noukai chhilo, Protidin surjo uthe and Bangladesh tumi ek chetona among others.
Lyricists of the album are Ashim Saha, Mujahidul Haq Lenin, Jibon Chowdhury, Jahangir Rana and Maksud Jamil Mintu among others.
