Music-lovers to get Alam Khan, Andrew Kishore in their songs

Legendary music composer of the country Alam Khan was mentor to playback legend Andrew Kishore. Andrew Kishore last met Alam Khan on September 24 in 2019. They met in a conversation organised by journalist Ovi Moinuddin on that day. Both of them recalled their past memories in that discussion. Both of them are not alive today. But their fans will find them in their songs years over years.
Andrwe Kishore first lent his voice for playback song in Shibly Sadik directed movie Mail Train. But the movie did not get release later. Then viewers first hear in voice of Andrew Kishore in AJ Mintu directed movie Protigga. Andrew Kishore rendered the playback song titled Eke chor jai chole pichhone legechhe daroga, which lyrics were written by Dewan Nazrul and music was composed by Alam Khan. The song was used in lip of hero Alamgir in that movie. By his first playback song Andrew Kishore attracted everybody’s attention during that time. Then the history began of how Andrew Kishore became ‘emperor of the playback’ songs in the country. The singer came into more discussion to render the popular playback song titled Haire manush rongin fanush dom furaile thoosh, which lyrics were written by Syed Shamsul Haque. This song was used in Mohiuddin directed movie Boro Bhalolok Chhilo released in 1981. For rendering playback song in this movie Andrew Kishore for the first time got the National Film Award, while as music director for same movie Alam Khan also got the National Film Award for the first time. Alam Khan informed that he gave Tk500 to Andrew Kishore as remuneration for rendering the song in that movie.
Former student of Rajshahi University, Andrew Kishore was born at Mission Hospital in Rajshahi city. He learned many things about music from Ustad Abdul Aziz Bachchu. In 1977, AHM Rafiq was working in an important position at transmission service in Bangladesh Betar. One day he requested Andrew Kishore to come to Dhaka. During that time Mohammad Shahidul Islam, who was working at Shilpakala Academy, made a plan. His plan was to make sure arrangement for the promising modern singers of mufassil area then some good songs might be released. In the meantime, some good singers might come forward also. According to this plan, singers like Subir Nandi, Farida Parveen, Nargis Parvin, Probal Chowdhury and Andrew Kishore were born.
Under the music composition of Alam Khan, Andrew Kishore last rendered the song titled Phuler gondher moto theke jabo tomar rumale, which lyrics were written by Syed Shamsul Haque. Koto rongo janore manush, Haire manush rongin fanush, Dak diyachhen doyal amare, Bhalobese gelam shudhu, Kare bole bhalobasa, Chander sathe ami debona, Jiboner golpo achhe baki olpo, etc are Andrew Kishore rendered more popular playback songs which music were composed by Alam Khan.
