Mushfiqur’s XI declares 140/9 in practice match

Pacer Shafiul Islam hogged the headlines as he captured 5 wickets for 17 on the first day of rain-hit three-day practice match before Mushfiqur XI declared with the score at 140 for nine against Tamim XI at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Wednesday.
One down Nazmul Hossain top scored with 53 runs followed by Mushfiqur Rahim (30) and Taijul Islam (26), after Mishfiqur Rahim’s Red team opted to bat first after winning the toss.
In reply, Bangladesh Green team scored 49 for 1 at stumps. Local lad Tamim Iqbal and Mominul Haque were on the crease with 23 and 19 runs as the stumps were drawn for the day. Rubel Hossain took 1 for 15 runs.
The Tigers are playing a three-day practice match and the squad has been divided into two playing XI’s with Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal captaining the sides.
The match was delayed due to rain and the game started at 12.40 pm instead of 9.30 am.
