Wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim has now the highest dismissals of Bangladesh in One Day International (ODI) matches. The 25-year Bangladesh captain has the most dismissals of any wicketkeeper of Bangladesh.
Mushfiqur Rahim dismissed 129 wickets. He played 132 matches. He took 95 catches and 34 batsmen were stumped out by him.
Earlier, wicketkeeper Khaled Mashud Pilot had the highest dismissal. Pilot had 126 dismissals. Pilot played 126 ODI matches.
Captain Mushfiqur Rahim touched the record of Pilot in the second ODI between Bangladesh and India on June 17.
Mushfiqur Rahim made the new record when he took the catch of Ambati Raidu from a delivery of Taskin Ahmed during the third ODI between Bangladesh and India on June 19.
Later, Mushfiqur Rahim took more two catches.
Though the third ODI between Bangladesh and India was abandoned but Captain Mushfiqur Rahim made new record for Bangladesh and now he has the highest dismissals among the wicketkeepers of Bangladesh.
Mushfiqur Rahim made his ODI debut in the year of 2006 under the captaincy of Khaled Mashud Pilot. In that match, Bangladesh played against Zimbabwe in Harare.
Mushfiqur Rahim played nine matches as a fielder. He took two catches as a fielder.
