Mushfiq wins ICC Player of the Month Award

Ace batsman Mushfiqur Rahim won the International Cricket Council (ICC) Player of the Month Award for May 2021. Mushfiq was adjudged the Player of the Month Award of the month of May 2021. Mushfiq notched up 84 runs in the first One Day International (ODI) against Sri Lanka in Dhaka. He made 125 runs in the second ODI against Sri Lanka and scored 28 runs in the third ODI against the Islanders. He scored altogether 237 runs with an average of 79.
Hasan Ali of Pakistan and Praveen Jayavikrama of Sri Lanka were nominated for the prize of ICC Player of the Month Award of May 2021.
Pacer Hasan Ali of Pakistan captured nine wickets in the first Test against Zimbabwe and claimed five wickets in the second Test against Zimbabwe. He grabbed altogether 14 wickets in two Tests.
On the other hand, Praveen Jayavikrama of Sri Lanka picked up altogether 11 wickets in two innings of the second Test against Bangladesh.
All-rounder Kathryn Bryce from Scotland was voted the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for May 2021. She is the first player from Scotland, male, or female, to make it to the top 10 of the batting or bowling lists in the MRF Tyres ICC Player Rankings released recently. Kathryn played four T20Is against Ireland where she scored 96 runs and took 5 wickets with an economy rate of 4.76 in the month of May.
