After the historic victory over Australia Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim today said the victory was a big achievement for his side.
“Definitely it’s a big achievement.. it’s a historic match … I think we have fought all the four days with them neck to neck and such kind of victory really boost up more of our confidence level and this experience always be helpful for us in future .. …. if we again fall in such situation in future, we’ll able to tackle the situation,” said Mushfiq at a post match press conference held on Wednesday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
Mushfiq said Miraz and Taijul bowled really well today compared to previous occasion and they can take lessons from today’s performance. Our bowlers bowled according to the plan today and have completed their job best of their ability.
The diminutive wicket keeper said he had a faith on this wicket despite the meager winning target of 156 on the fourth day with Australia having eight wickets in hand.
On the fourth day wicket taking spin with a variable bounce is not easy to bat for a new or for a set batsman. The three main spinners of the team made the task easy.
The winning Bangladesh captain said after the victory they (Australia) now also understood well that Bangladesh too can be aggressive not only with bat and ball but also with body language, as you noticed that when there was six minute to go for lunch, Maxwell was trying to kill off time so that after that over they would not have to play one over before lunch.
Bangladesh his now more matured side having good player who can turn the fate of the match in any time.
He said as we won the match now we have possibility to win the series which we want to do in the second match as the good opportunity does not come always.
