Ace batsman Mushiqur Rahim, ‘Mr Finisher’ Mahmudllah Riyad, top-order batsman Soumya Sarkar, promising all rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz joined Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited. They formally signed the agreement with the club officials on Sunday night.
Star cricketers like Shakib Al Hasan and Taskin Ahmed played for Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in the last year’s Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket. They will also play for Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in the next year’s DPL Cricket. Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Soumya Sarkar and Mehidy Hasan Miraz have joined with them to take part in the next year’s DPL Cricket.
Chairman of the Development Committee of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited and Inspector General of Bangladesh Police Dr. Benazir Ahmed, Director of Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Mahbub Anam, Director of Mohammedan Sporting Club AGM Bikash were present at the signing ceremony, among others on Sunday night.
It may be mentioned that prolific all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan left the city for Dubai on Sunday night to compete in the rest of the matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Shakib Al Hasan will renew the agreement with Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited after the ending of IPL.
The cricketers, who will play for Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in the DPL Cricket, are: Parvez Hossain Emon, Abdul Majid, Rony Talukdar, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed, Shuvagata Hom, Suhrawady Shuvo, Nazmul Islam Apu, Rubel Mia, Abu Jayed, Hasan Mahmud, Yasin Arafat, Enamul Haque, Salauddin Shakil and Ariful Islam.
