Ace batsman Mushfiqur Rahim got injury when he was taking part in the practice session at the BCB-NCA ground, which is adjacent to the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Wednesday. Bangladesh T20I Cricket team including Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal participated in the practice session.
Mushifiqur got injury on his finger from a delivery of pacer Shoriful Islam in the net-session. After that, he took first aid and then he was sent to dressing room.”
Chief Physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Dr Debashish Chowdhury said, ” Mushfiqur Rahim got injury on his figure when he was practicing in the net. I have observed his condition. We have not take decision yet that he will be examined by X-ray. After examining his condition we shall take the decision about his treatment.
It may be mentioned that Mushfiqur Rahim could not perform well in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket. But he played some good innings. The wicketkeeper-batsman could not get run in the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan. His performance was very much necessary in the upcoming T20I matches against Afghanistan. However, Bangladesh Cricket team need that he can play in the T20I matches against Afghanistan.
