Mushfiq expects good series in West Indies

Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim said they are expecting a good and competitive series in the upcoming West Indies series and at the same time the Tigers captain found hopeful to return winning streak after their dismal performance in the one and half years.
He was taking to the pressmen at a pre-departure press conference at National Stadium conference room on Sunday afternoon.
Bangladesh will leave for West Indies on August 13 (Wednesday) to play three ODI and only a T20 and two-match Test Series against their West Indies counterpart.
“Everything is tough… I think cricket is not an easy game …… our aim is to play a competitive cricket in each series. If you play good cricket, you will win in any format of cricket and if you fail to play good cricket, you will loss.” said the Mushfiq.
The Bangladesh skipper thinks that they have good chance of winning series against West Indies if everything goes okay with them. “If everything goes okay with us, you will see we will be able to do well in the series as there is huge opportunity to win matches.”
Asked to comment about the absence of all rounder Shakib Al Hasan in the team, Mushfiq said no doubt Shakib is a good performer for the team s but at the same time cricket is not a one man game.
Replying to a question, Mushfiq said they have some plans against the Caribbean to win series. The West Indies series will be a big challenge for Mushfiq-men as they will miss the service of their key player Shakib Al Hasan, who has been suspended by Bangladesh Cricket Board for six months.
Bangladesh will play the first ODI on August 20 at the National Cricket Stadium, St George’s, Grenada while the second ODI will be played on August 22 at the same venue. The third and final day-night ODI between the two sides will be held on August 25 at the Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts.
After the ODI series, the Tiger will play only T20 against their Caribbean counterpart at Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts.
Bangladesh will play the first Test against West Indies on September 5-9 at Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent while the second and final Test will be played on September 13-17 at the Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia.
