Police in Chittagong city on Wednesday arrested a former Chhatra Dal leader accused in the killing of a human-hauler driver during BNP-led opposition’s agitation programme in January 2014.
On information, police raided Shershah Bihari Masjid area and arrested Abdur Rashid Tipu, 35, former vice-president of Baizid Thana unit Chhatra Dal.
He is accused in three other cases, said police.
The driver Mitul was injured when a petrol bomb was thrown at his vehicle in Panchlaish on January 6, 2014. He died on January 10.
