State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hassan visited ailing Ekushey Padak winning journalist and Advisory Editor of the Daily Janakantha Toab Khan at the United Hospital in the capital.
The state minister went to the hospital on Thursday and spent some time beside the ailing journalist, a press release said.
He inquired about the health condition and treatment of Toab Khan, who is receiving treatment at the hospital since August 16 due to heart-related ailment.
Toab, also a noted sound artiste of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, was a Press Secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and later he served as Chief Information Officer and Director General of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB).
