Once popular film actress Munmun has already crossed two decades in this arena. She has now become regular in acting. However, she was totally absent from acting for several years due to her engagement with family affairs. Now she has been acting in good movies one after another.
Munmun is now passing busy days with acting in two movies. One is Javed Zahid’s Dui Rajkonya and another is Mizanur Rahman Mizan’s Ragi. She is acting in lead roles in these two movies. Specially she is acting in a challenging role in Ragi which has made her optimistic. Munmun informed that she never worked in such type of role.
Recently Munmun has finished shooting of Delwar Jahan Jhontu’s movie 52 Thekey 71 and Danny Sidak’s Kashar Thalai Rupali Chand. These two are government-grant movies. In fact, Munmun feels proud to work in two government-grant movies at a time.
While talking about her present works and to be regular again in acting Munmun told this correspondent, “I am die-heartedly a person of film. Film has made me today’s Munmun. For this reason, I shall have respect to this world rest of my life. Due to my family engagement I was outside from acting. Now I have become regular in acting. So I am feeling well now. I am very much optimistic about my new movie Ragi. The persons who helped me a lot in film industry I am grateful to them.”
In 1997, though Munmun first acted in Ehtesham’s movie Moumachhi but she debuted her career through Jibon Rahman’s movie Ajker Sontrashi. Bapparaz was her co-actor in the movie. Her acted romantic movie was Sheikh Jamal’s Lonkakando. Jewel acted against her in the movie. Munmun’s last acted movie was Babul Reza’s Kumari Maa, which was released in 2014.
Munmun has acted in 86 movies till now. Munmun’s acted only story play is Bibesh Roy’s Dhan-er Kabbyo. Its shooting was done in Moddhyonagar in Sunamganj in 2001. It was made under the adaptation of noted litterateur Shahed Ali’s short story Foshol Tolar Kahini. Mahmudul Islam Mithu, Dr Gopiranjan Roy Poddar, Humayun Kabir, Prodip Debnath, Rojoni, Hena, Bijon Bihari Roy, among others, also acted with Munmun in this movie.
Munmun informed that this movie is one of her mentionable works in acting career.
