The Naogaon Sadar Municipality election was held peacefully and in a beautiful atmosphere on Saturday. Continuous voting was held from 8 am to 4 pm. No untoward incident was reported from any of the polling stations.
Only at Degree College Center, some unruly incidents happened. At that time 2/3 journalists were assaulted. The deployment of additional police on an emergency basis did not lead to a major consolidation. In addition, polling was held through security cordons at all the centers.
The total number of voters in Naogaon municipality are 1 lakh 20 thousand.
