The Local Government (Municipality) (Amendment) Bill, 2015 was passed in the House on November 19 aiming to pave the path for arranging the election only to the mayoral post in the country’s municipalities under party line.

The Development Surcharge and Levy (Impose and Collection) Bill, 2015 was passed on the same day, aiming to collect one percent surcharge on the use of mobile phone services.
The Bangladesh Coinage (Amendment) Act, 2015 was passed in Parliament on November 15, seeking to make the 5-taka coin and note as government coin and note.
