Mumbai Indians rope in Fizz in IPL 2018 auction

Bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahman has found a new team in the upcoming Indian Premier League as defending champions Mumbai Indians have bought him with more than double of his base price.
Fizz goes to Mumbai at 2.2 crore. The bowling sensation Fizz was the first fast bowler picked in the IPL auction. His base price was RS 1 crore was first targeted by Delhi Daredevils.
Mumbai Indians then joined the battle. Although it took a while to find a bidder for Fizz, these two franchises took his bid to 2 crore soon.
Mumbai reached at 2.2 crore rupees ($ 346060). Delhi didn’t go any further neither any other franchise. Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t use right-to-match card on him. Mustafizur was finally sold to Mumbai.
Mustafizur was the second Bangladeshi picked in this year’s auction. Shakib Al Hasan was earlier sold to Fizz’s former team Sunrisers Hyderabad at 2 crore rupees.
The ‘cutter master’ played for Sunrisers in 2016 and 2017 editions. He played throughout the 2016 tournament and won emerging player award as his side also became the winners for the first time. He played only one match in the tenth IPL.
Ben Stokes is so far the most expensive buy in the auction. He was bought in by Rajasthan Royals for a colossal 12.5 crore.
Four more Bangladeshis – Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riyad, Sabbir Rahman and Abul Hasan Raju – all with base price of RS 50 lakh, are yet to be called.
