Multipurpose homeo projects taken by present regime

Minister for Health and Family Planning Md. Nasim MP said present govt considering the homeopathy treatment with due importance on priority basis over development of healthcare services in the country.
He disclosed it while addressing the National Homeopathic convention as arranged on the occasion of council session of the central committee of Bangladesh Homeopathic Parishad(BAHOP) as chief guest recently.
The minister said during the tenure of present govt, a number of homeopathy projects were undertaken including upgrading of existing infrastructure of the homeo colleges and employment of homeo doctors in different govt projects.
He also said keeping in view as a homeo treatment is a treatment of mass people, govt has undertaken multipurpose projects in hand to popularize the homeopathy.
He urged upon the homeo physicians to present the govt’s pro-development activities for flourishing the homeo system of medicine in the country before the mass people.
Chairman of Bangladesh Homeopathy Board Dr.Dilip Kumar Roy inaugurated the convention at Institution of Engineers Hall in Dhaka.
President of Dhaka district unit of BAHOP and Convenor of the National Homeopathic Convention-2016 Dr. AKM Shahidullah presided it. Acting secretary of the Ministry of Health & Family Planning Biman Kumar Saha, additional Secretary Dr. Shampada Dey, General Manager of Sonali Bank Dr. Md. Mofazzal Hossain, Secretary of BHB Dr.Md. Jahangir Alam, former central General Secretary of BAHOP Dr. Chandra Shekar Das, President of DHMS Doctors Association Dr. Sheikh Iftikaruddin, acting secretary of Homeopathy Medical Graduate Association Dr. Ashish Sankar Niyogi attended the convention as special guests.
Acting Secretary General of BAHOP central committee Dr. Anjan Kumar Das delivered inaugural speech along with the aims and objectives of the perished of in it duly conducted by Joint convenor of the convention Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam.
Acting Acting President of Central committee Principal Dr. Abdul Karim delivered addressed the convention as keynote speaker.Member Secretary of the convention Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Khan delivered welcome address.
The chief guest Md.Nasim MP and the chairman of BHB Dr.Dilip Kumar Roy were given Honourary crest of BAHOP and the chief guests also awarded with Honourary certificate and donor & life member certificate.
In second phase of the convention, science seminar held in second phase. Central vice president of BAHOP Dr.Sheikh Faruk Elahi presented explanatory papers on Hering homeo policy before the seminar.
Among others, Dr. AKM Shahidullah, Dr. KM Alauddin, Dr. Birendra Chandra Dev, Dr. Nazir Hossain, Dr. Saleh Ahmed Suleman, Dr. Imrul Kaiyesh, dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman Pulak, Dr. Tarikuzzaman Sohel participated the seminar session duly presided by Principal Dr.Abdul Karim.
Chairman of BHB Dr. Dilip Kumar Roy was the chief guest in the seminar.Dr. Nazrul Islam Khan and Dr. Md. Tajul Islam moderated the seminar, sources said. Annual general meeting of BAHOP held in third phase of the convention with Acting President Principal Dr. Abdul Karim in the chair.
District unit leaders addressed the AGM duly moderated by Dr.Anjan Kumar Das. Council session of the organization held in fourth phase of the convention.
Additional secretary of theHealth Ministry Dr.Shampada Dey was the chief election commissioner of the annual election while the Joint secretary Dr.Md. Fazlul Hoque and the ex-secretary general of BAHOP Dr. Chandra Sekhar Das were the election commissioners.
In the election, 101-members committee of the organization was formed headed by Principal Dr. Abdul Karim and Dr. Anjan Kumar Das as President and the Secretary General respectively by voice vote of the present members in the council session. Chief Election Commissioner of BAHOP election commission swear oath of the newly elected executive committee members in the council session, BAHOP President and Rector of Azizur Rahman Homeopathic College and Hospital, Chittagong Principal Dr.Abdul Karim said.
