A 13-day long Muktijuddher Bijoy Mela marking the Victory Day began at Maijdee Court on Monday.
Local Lawmaker Ekramul Karim Chowdhury inaugurated it. Freedom fighter Mamtazul Karim Bachu, secretary of the mela committee said, discussion meeting about wartime, history of freedom fights and cultural programmes will be held every day at Bijoy Moncha.
About two hundred stalls have been set up on the ground. It will remain open for all from 3pm to 11pm.
Improved diets will be served to the patients in the hospital, under trial prisoner at district jail, vagrant and orphanage centers at 1pm.
Prayer would be offered in mosques, temples and churches for the peace and progress of the country.
A friendly football match would be held between Narayanganj Dc XI and Narayanganj district Sports Association at Osmany stadium at 3.30 am
Discussion meeting and a cultural programme will be held at circuit house at 6pm.
