Muktijoddha SKC advance to 3rd slot beating Uttar Baridhara 1-0

Muktijoddha Sangsad KC advanced to the 3rd slot in the JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football beating lowly Uttar Baridhara Club by a solitary goal in the 8th round match at Sylhet District Stadium Monday afternoon.
With the day’s victory, the freedom fighters team Muktijoddha have secured 15 points from eight matches to advance to 3rd slot after Sheikh Jamal DC (18 points) and Dhaka Abahani Limited (16 pts). Uttar Baridhara Club remained at 11th position in the 12-team fray with three points from eight outings.
After a baren first half, Shah Alamgir Kabir Anik scored the match-winning goal for the Muktijoddha SKS in the 66th minute by a right footer from about 30 yards from a corner (1-0).
Muktijoddha SKC were reduced to 10-man in the 56th minute as their Mobarak Hossain received red card for hitting opponent Sentu Chnadra Sen with ball.
Earlier, Muktijoddha came close to score in the 39th minute, but Baridhara goalie Ershad saved his castle foiling an angular shot Javed Khan.
Baridhara managed a good chance in the 54th minute but Muktijoddha custodian Mamun Khan made a brilliant save foiling a good shot of Sentu in the danger zone.
