Muktijoddha meet Mohammedan in 2nd semi today

Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra will meet Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited today in the second semi-final of the Federation Cup at the Bangabandhu National Stadium. The game starts at 5.15 pm.
Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra and Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra gained four points from their respective two Group B matches. But by virtue of better goal difference Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra emerged the Group B champions while Muktijoddha Sangsad became the runners-up of the Group B. Later, Muktijoddha Sangsad beat Dhaka Abahani Limited by a solitary goal in the fourth quarter-final on February 27 and reached the semi-final.
On the other hand, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited emerged the Group D champions with four points in two matches. Later, Mohammedan Sporting Club moved into the last four when they defeated Soccer Club, Feni by 2-1 goals in the second quarter-final on February 25.
Coach of Muktijoddha Sangsad Abu Yousuf said, “Most of the players of my team are experienced. Our foreign recruits are very disciplined. I am optimistic about our success. Mohammedan Sporting Club are tough opponents.”
Captain of Muktijoddha Sangsad Enamul said, ” Muktijoddha Sangsad always try to become champions in any football competition. We played in the final last year. We want to play in the final in this time too.”
Coach of Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Jashimuddin Joshi said, “We have taken a good preparation. I watched the match between Muktijoddha Sangsad and Sheikh Russel in their group stage. I think Muktijoddha Sangsad are favourites in the semi-final.”
Captain of Mohammedan Sporting Club Arup Kumar Baidya said, “Our target is to become the champions of this competition. I hope our team will play in the final.”
