Muktijoddha Sangsad KC dropped important points with lowly Feni Soccer Club as their Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League match ended in a goalless draw at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
With this draw, freedom fighters’ team Muktijoddha KC have secured 20 points from 11 matches while Feni Soccer Club bagged 9 points playing the same number of encounters.
In the day’s match, Feni Soccer came close to score in the 15th minute, but a good header of their forward Iqbal Hossain Bhuiyan was nicely fisted away by Muktijoddha goalie Titumir Chowdhury.
In the 47th minute, a good shot of Muktijoddha midfielder Naeemur Rahman Shahed from goal mouth melee hit the side post.
Muktijoddha striker Rokonuzzaman Kanchon squandered the golden opportunity in the 90th minute.
Midfielder Shymol Ahmed Rony sent a pass to unmark Kanchan who shot the ball wide in a one to one situation with Soccer Club goalie Golam Mostafa Tohan.
