Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra edged past Soccer Club, Feni by a solitary goal in the Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League held on Tuesday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Nigerian recruit Eleta Kingsley scored the decisive goal for the Muktijoddha Sangsad in the 34th minute with a placing shot in the far post.
Muktijoddha’s another Nigerian attacker Nkowcha Kingsley produced a brilliant footwork to go past two Feni defenders in the 57th minute and was nicely positioned to double the lead, but his right footer was deflected to a corner by defender Akramuzzman Liton.
Feni Soccer hardly had any scoring chances throughout the match.
With the day’s win, Muktijoddha raised their tally to 46 points from 26 matches while Feni Soccer remained at their previous credit of 18 points from the same number of outings.
