Muktamoni, the 12-year-old girl who underwent several surgeries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) due to tumor in her blood vessels on the right hand, went to her village home for a month on Friday.
Muktamoni’s father Ibrahim Hossain said the DMCH doctors allowed Muktamoni to stay at her village home for a month after six months treatment of her rare diseases.
Daughter of a grocery shop owner Ibrahim Hossain of Kamarbaisa village in Sadar upazila of Satkhira, Muktamoni had been passing her days in great sufferings for lack of proper treatment. Later Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina took responsibility of her treatment. Muktamoni was admitted to the hospital on 11th July last.
After her admission to the hospital doctors conducted a biopsy on Muktamoni. The biopsy results showed that she has a tumor in her blood vessels in her right hand. Later she underwent several successful surgeries at the hospital.
