Ruling party backed Swadinata Chikitsak Parishad (SACIP) Mujib-Faisal panel swept in the election of Chittagong chapter of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) held on Thursday.
According to official results, Dr. Mujibul Haq Khan and Dr. Faisal Iqbal Chowdhury panel swept all 23 posts by wide margin. The election held at Dr Khastogir Government Girls’ High School premises at Jamalkhan.The BMA election however was held peacefully and 3359 out of 4500 voters cast their votes that held from 9 am to 5 pm, according to election commission unofficial results announced at around 2 am early today.
Dr. Mujibul Haq Khan and Dr. Faisal Iqbal Chowdhury have been elected president and general secretary respectively of the BMA, Chittagong chapter by defeating another SACIP backed Dr. Nasiruddin Mahmud and Dr. MInhazur Rahman panel.
