Mujib Borsho to be celebrated for inspiring young people to know Bangabandhu: Dy Speaker

Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangshad Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah on Sunday urged the people of his constituency for celebrating Mujib Barsha (Mujib Year) officially with much festivity.
“The government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken the decision to celebrate the Mujib Year to inspire the young generations to know the Bangabandhu’s life and works including his great contribution in achieving the independence of the country in 1971 so that they could be groomed with patriotic spirit”, he said.
Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah made the observations while addressing a preparatory meeting on celebration of Mujib Year, the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, at the auditorium of Bharatkhali union parishad Complex under Shaghata upazila in the district on here this ,morning as the chief guest.
Shaghata upazila chairman Zahangir Kabir and Fulchhari upazila chairman GM Selim Parvez also spoke at the event as the special guests while Bharatkhali UP chairman Shamsul Azad Shital presided over.
After elaborate discussion, a series of programmes have been chalked out to celebrate the Mujib Year with much enthusiasm by all sections of people of the society from March 17, 2020 to March 26, 2021.
The programmes include bringing out rally, holding discussion and cultural functions, arrangement of sports competitions, conducting cleanliness drives, illuminating all govt. buildings and party offices, forestation, distributing sanitary napkin to the female students, building houses for the poor, displaying documentary film on Bangabandhu, and prize and crests disbursement.
Fazle Rabbi Miah in his speeches said this is an extraordinary opportunity for the nation topay deep respect and gratitude to Bangabandhu and the young generations would be able to contribute to build Sonar Bangla being inspired by the ideology of Bangabandhu.
