Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will hold a pre-budget meeting with four organisations tomorrow in an effort to take suggestions from those before finalising the national budget for FY19.
He will hold the meeting with the high-ups of four think tanks – Policy Research Institute (PRI), Economic Research Group (ERG), Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) and Bangladesh Economic Association (BEA) – at 6:00 pm at the State Guest House, Padma, here.
Earlier, beginning his pre-budget parley at a dialogue on ‘National Budget 2018-2019: Expectations of the poor community and social safety net programmes’ with the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on January 30 last, Muhith indicated that the size of the next national budget will be within Taka 4,68,000 crore.
