Jatiya Sangsad Correspondent : Finance Minister AMA Muhith started his budget speech in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) at 3.35pm. This is the first budget of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government since it was elected for the second consecutive term on January 5 and the country’s 43rd budget and the 15th budget of the Awami League government. For Muhith it is the eighth budget and sixth budget under the Awami League government. Before placing in the Jatiya Sangsad, the cabinet approved it at a meeting held in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at around 1.00pm. The cabinet finally will approve the proposed budget at the end of this month.
