Finance Minister AMA Muhith left on Sunday for South Korea to take part in the “Fourth Busan Global Partnership Forum” in the city of Busan.
“The minister left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1.40 pm,” a finance ministry official said.
The Fourth Partnership Forum will be held from November 21 to 22. The finance minister is scheduled to return home on November 24. The Korean government launched the Busan Global Partnership Forum in 2014 with the aim of supporting the implementation of the Busan commitments at the country level and sustaining the ambitions of the Global Partnership.
The Busan Global Partnership Forum provides a unique opportunity to bring together policymakers and practitioners to share country experiences and explore in detail the enabling factors and contexts that led to successful development outcomes.
Following up the success of the forums from 2014 onwards, the 2017 Forum will serve as a platform for discussions by a range of stakeholders including governments, civil society, the private sector and international organizations.
