Muggers snatched a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and Tk 1.75 lakh cash in separate places in the city on Saturday.
The first incident took place near Jurain Rail Gate in Jatrabari area around 4am.
A gang of muggers numbering three intercepted CNG-auto-rickshaw driver Abdur Rajjak, 35, stabbed him and fled the scene driving away his auto-rickshaw.
Abdur Rajjak, a resident of Chowdhury Para in Malibagh area, was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
In another incident, a group of muggers numbering 7-8 swooped on three cloths traders – Aminul Islam, Sahin and Khaleque – near Taltala City Corporation Market in Khilgaon area and took them away at a silent place at gunpoint.
