Muggers looted Tk 22 lakh after shooting a trader in Warehouse Quarter area of the Feni district on Monday noon.
The victim trader is identified as Shahidul Islam Kamrul, 38, son of Abdul Qaium.
Sources said, that riding an auto-rickshaw, the cloth trader Shahidul was going to a local Bank from his residence carrying Tk22 lakh Monday noon. Meanwhile, a gang of muggers opened fire on him and looted the bag containing the money, leaving the Shahidul injured with bullets.
Later, critically injured Mithun was sent to Feni Sadar Medical College Hospital first. Then, he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
