Muggers looted Tk 5 lakh after stabbing a sales representative (SR) of ‘bKash’, mobile money transfer window, to death in Board Bazar area of the city on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Robin Sarkar, 19, a ‘bKash’ employee who used to collect money from the agents of the company in the area.
Khandaker Ershad Jahan, local distributor of ‘bKash’, said a group of miscreants intercepted Robin in front of Islamic University of Technology (IUT) around 2:45pm and took away a bag containing Tk 5 lakh from him when he reached the area after collecting money from ‘bKash’ agents.
As Robin tried to resist the hoodlums, they stabbed him indiscriminately.
