Staff Reporter :A Chittagong Court on Sunday framed charge against nine persons including Hefajat-e-Islam’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Mufti Izharul Islam Chowdhury and his son Harun Izhar over grenade blast in a madrasa in the Lalkhan Bazar area.Judge SM Mojibur Rahman of Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court in the port city also fixed April 28 for the next hearing. Three persons were killed in an explosion in a room of Jamiatul Ulum Islami Madrasa on October 7 last year. Izhar was the founder and principal of the madrasa. On October 8, two cases were filed against 12 people. On February 10, investigation officer Md Lokman, also sub-inspector of Khulshi Police Station, submitted the charge-sheet before the court.The court issued arrest warrant against him on March 27.
