President Md. Abdul Hamid rejected the mercy petition of Mufti Abdul Hannan on Saturday.
Confirming the news to media, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, next step will be taken as per Jail Code after rejection of the mercy petition. The Jail authority is yet to get any information about rejection of the mercy petition of Mufti Hannan. However they have kept ready all preparations to execute the government’s order any time.
