Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited split points when their match ended in a 1-1 goals draw in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League held on Wednesday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Ismael Bangoura and Jewel Rana played one-two to go past the Sheikh Jamal defence in the 53rd minute and the young midfielder scored with a neat left footer from the left corner of the box (1-0).
Sheikh Jamal restored the parity in the 57th minute as Yeamin Munna fed compatriot Sohel Rana with a square pass and Sohel Rana’s grounder was blocked by Mohammedan goalie Rana, the ball however came on way of Haitian forward Leonel Preux who placed the ball into the net (1-1).
After the day’s feat, Sheikh Jamal have 20 points from 8 matches while Mohammedan have 14 points from 8 matches also.
