Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited returned to the winning streak as they posted a 2-1 goal victory over old Dhaka ‘outfit’ Farashganj Sporting Club in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League held on Saturday evening at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Mohammedan took the lead in the 40th minutes as Mohammedan forward Touhidul Alam Sobuj placed the ball into the empty net after fellow Mobarak Hossain’s close range attempt, punched by Farashganj goalie sujan Chowdhury, came to his way (1-0).
Nigerian forward Akinyele Peter restored the parity in the 51st minute breaking the off-side trap and placed the ball past Mohammedan goalie Nehal (1-1).
Ismael Bangoura sealed the victory for Mohammedans scoring the second goal in the 52nd minute. 2-1).
With the day’s win, Mohammedan have nine points from five matches while old Dhaka ‘outfit’ Farashganj is still to earn any point from four matches. Mohammedan earlier lost to Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra and Brothers Union Club.
